Jean-Jacques Benchetrit won the Gold medal winner as a Light Middleweight in the 1977 World Maccabiah Games, by defeating Herbie Wilens.
He also defeated future French national Welterweight Champion Jean Marie Touati on points in 1981 for his most significant win as a professional fighter.
He retired in 1981 with a final record of 16 wins (5 KOs), with one loss and one draw.
