• On April 24th 1972 Weinrauter had a 15 meters fall while at work on a building. Doctors fought for his life for six weeks. Weinrauter recovered later that year, comitted to a wheel chair. He later became an outstanding basket ball player for disabled, winning six World Championships for Germany's National Team.
