According to a September 11, 1925 news item with a Santa Fe (New Mexico) dateline in the September 12, 1925 edition of the Albuquerque Journal (Albuquerque, New Mexico) on Newspapers.com, Don "Terror" Long of Colorado Springs, Colorado was scheduled to fight Mike Vasquez of El Paso, Texas in a scheduled 12-round bout in Santa Fe, New Mexico on September 18, 1925. At the time, Long was a dental student at "the Colorado College."

According to his page on the Find A Grave website, one Donald Francis Long was born on December 24, 1904 and died on October 14, 1963. He is buried in the Fort Logan Cemetery in Denver Colorado. According to information found on his tombstone, Long was from Colorado and served in the Dental Corps as a First Lieutenant during World War II.
