Sally Salvatore (sometimes spelled Solly Salvadore or Salvator) was born Salvatore Morcelli. [1]. In his obituary in the Sacramento Bee he was reported to be born in Rome, Italy. In census records, however, he claimed birth in New York State, with both his parents being born in Italy. Salvadore was a railroad employee during his career, and was working odd jobs in the 1930 census.
