Henry Falegano was the elder brother of fellow boxer Vale Falegano. The brothers were stablemates of Louis Mays and Hymie Wiseman.

While fighting in California, Falegano used the ring name of "Henry Faligano." After moving to Des Moines, Iowa, he fought under his real name. Falegano was an extremely active fighter while headquartered in Des Moines. (In one week in 1930, for example, he fought three times.) He is one of the very few boxers in history to have over 200 documented bouts.

According to the U.S., Department of Veterans Affairs BIRLS Death File, 1850-1910 database, one Henry Falegano was born on August 25, 1904, and died on January 23, 1975. He enlisted in the U.S. Army November 20, 1942, and was discharged August 26, 1945. Source: California Death Records Database on the genealogical website, RootsWeb
