Conn was a highly regarded fighter for many years in the UK. He fought from flyweight to featherweight. He fought Tancy Lee in 1917 for the UK Featherweight title but was stopped in the 17th rd of a scheduled 20 rd. contest. Joe Conn was the younger brother of fellow boxer Dave Conn.
