He was inducted into the Hazleton YMCA Hall of Fame in 1971, the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame of Luzerne County in 1990, and the Wyoming Valley Boxing Hall of Fame in 1996.
Prior to his retirement in 1977, he worked for the Hazleton City Street Department. His brother Johnny Gall was also a boxer.
