Jimmy Fitten boxed out of California during the 1910s and 1920s. He boxed under the names of Jimmy Huse, Jimmy Fitton, Jimmy Dillon, and Battling Karr.
Fitten later became a boxing manager for Juan Zurita and Baby Casanova.
In 1949, Fitten became the matchmaker and promoter in Seattle (for the Elliott Bay Boxing Club), and Tacoma's (Dave Miller Boxing Club), following the death of Joe Waterman. (His first match for Tacoma occurred Feb. 2, 1950.)
Fitten continued on as matchmaker/promoter in Seattle and Spokane until October 1950, when he quit promoting in both towns. He returned to California, managing and co-handling Lauro Salas in 1952 when Salas briefly held the World Lightweight title.
