Was Promoter of Olympia A.C. in New York for after his fighting career. In the 1920's Franklin became the leading fight promoter in Baltimore and he helped stage the Pancho Villa Benny Schwartz flyweight title fight--which was the first title fight held in Baltimore boxing history. He was also a boxing manger and his most successful fighter that he managed was world class flyweight and bantamweight contender Benny Schwartz. Franklin was of Irish-Jewish heritage.
