- 1935: won the 1935 West Side Detroit Golden Gloves Open Class Flyweight Title on February 8 over George Vartanian.
- 1935: defeated by Patsy Urso for the 1935 Detroit Golden Gloves Open Class Flyweight title on February 15.
- 1936: Benny lost a unanimous decision to Olympic Silver Medalist California Jackie Wilson on September 23, in a special fight in Detroit following the Berlin Olympic Games. He couldn't overcome Wilson's considerable height advantage.
- Reported, but not confirmed, that he won the 1936 Michigan AAU Title.
- Turned pro 1938. Some sources reported record of 60-3, although the Ring Record Book reports 37-2-1, 1 NC, with 14 kayos.
- Died Sept 2001 during the Jewish holidays.
