Joe Daly was an American boxer who was active in Chile.

He was born November 21, 1877 in Philadelphia to German immigrants Margared Ledermann and Joseph Simon Distler. He enlisted in the United States Navy from August 17, 1897 to September 26, 1900, when he was honorably discharged. He fought in the Spanish American War, including on the USS Baltimore in the Battle of Manila Bay.

In 1902 he moved to Chile where he founded the boxing school "La Filarmonica del Huaso Rodriguez" with Juan Budinich. He was one of the pioneers of the sport in Chile. He engaged in the first professional bout in Chile. At one time he was considered the Lightweight Champion of Chile.

He left Chile in the early 1930s and worked on ships for the Grace Line company until his retirement in the late forties. He then moved to Pine Hill, New Jersey, where he died on December 1, 1951 at age 74.
