NEW BEDFORD -- Eugene G. Mondou, 95, of New Bedford, died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998, after a brief illness. He was the husband of Elsie (Bouley) Mondou and son of the late Rock and Emelia (Letendre) Mondou. He died at St. Luke's Hospital. He was born in Canada and lived most of his life in Acushnet and New Bedford. He was a communicant of St. Theresa Church. He was employed by various local mills as a warper tender. He had also operated a poultry farm in Acushnet. Mr. Mondou was a quiet and devoted family man. He was a former amateur and professional boxer and Golden Glove boxer in his earlier days.
