Jimmy Cosenza was a boxing promoter in Northern California who promoted at the Richmond Auditorium, as well in Oakland at the Oakland Auditorium. Cosenza was inactive as a promoter from the early 1970s, until returning in 1986. Consenza would promote the comeback bout of George Foreman against Charles Hostetter in Oakland, for which he took a heavy financial loss that ended his career, as Foreman earned a $38,000 guarantee of the $39,000 in net receipts.
He had a brief professional boxing career as a Featherweight in the prelim ranks in the Bay Area in 1939 and 1940.
