According to an application form found in the U.S., Headstone Applications for U.S. Veterans, 1941-1949 database on Ancestry.com, one Billy Love was born on January 13, 1941 and died on September 24, 1944 while "In Service."

According to the Find-A-Grave website, one Billy Love is interred in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Omaha, Nebraska. According to an undated obituary from the Omaha World Herald, attached to his page on the Find-A-Grave website, Corp. Billy Love, a "former welterweight golden glover," was accidentally killed in Claiborne, Louisiana. He had been a "member of the Military Police, entering the service in March 1941."

It appears that he had an older brother named Robert J. Love, whose nickname may have been "Billie." (It could be that Robert J. Love was the professional boxer whose career record is linked here rather than his younger brother, Billy Love.)
