New York Golden Gloves Champion

Ronald Turner won two New York Golden Gloves Championships. Turner won both the 1983 Heavyweight Open Championship and the 1984 Super-Heavyweight Open Championship. Turner defeated Delen Parsley of the Bed-Stuy Boys Association in the finals of the 1983 Heavyweight Open Championship and in 1984 Turner stopped(RSC-2) Winston Bent in the finals of the Super Heavyweight Open division to win the Championship. In 1981 Turner advanced to the finals of the Heavyweight Open Championship and was stopped(RSC-2) by future Heavyweight Contender Carl Williams of the New York City Recreations O'Connell Center. Turner trained at the New York City's 25th Precinct.
