Abel Perry began boxing Oct 9, 2000 after extensive martial arts training. He never had a sanctioned amateur boxing career due ti the lack of a program in Alaska at the time. Instead he chose that day to enter the very popular Alaskan Club Boxing Circuit. Although he began with no previous boxing experience Abel compiled an impressive 84-6 record with 7 state championships.

In 2005 he decided to turn pro and he began his career in Las Vegas, NV.
