Kenny Loehr first competed in boxing at the age of 8. He won the Saint Louis Golden Gloves 5 times. He won 3 Missouri state titles, and several local tournaments. He switched fighting styles to kickboxing in 1999, and quickly became a national champion[citation needed]. He was ranked 2nd in the world as an amateur kickboxer at one point[citation needed]. Kenny made his professional boxing debut on August 3rd, 2007. He won his first fight by TKO at 1:55 in the 4th round. The fight was televised on FSN.
Kenny fought on July 11, 2009. Defeating Clayton Emrich by KO at 1:00 in the 1st round. The fight was held at Al Hrabosky's in Saint Louis, Missouri. Kenny Loehr Jr. has officially retired from the ring.
Outside of the ring, Kenny is employed as a Software Developer for Washington University in Saint Louis. He works hand-in-hand with St. Louis Children's Hospital's Doctors to develop new technology for improving treatment, and research of illness, and disease in children.
Kenny competes in Triathlons throughout the year, and raises money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. He donated the purse from his professional debut to LLS. And hopes to continue fighting and raising money for the society in the future.
