Robert was the 1st vice president of judges at the National Golden Gloves for six years, officiated the National Golden Gloves for 21 years, and was chief of officials for the Iowa Golden Gloves since 1981, where he was also involved as executive secretary, registration, chair, treasurer. He was a member of the USAB Board of Review for 12 years and conducted official boxing clinics in Iowa since 1981.
