Konnor, Paul C. Attorney, Olympic official, Colonel U.S. Air Force, Judge Advocate General. Paul C. Konnor (nee Kotrodimos) went to be with his personal savior on November 20, 2006 at the age of 84. Paul is survived by his wife, Doris of Mequon; daughter, Dr. Paula Konnor of Rumson, NJ; three sons, Stewart of Milwaukee, Chris of Bayside, and Clay of Shorewood; and six grandchildren, Chesney, Alexandra, Eliza, Chloe, Claire and Ethan. Paul was a decorated WWII veteran serving as a US Army Ranger under Col. William Darby. He receiving a silver star, three bronze stars, three purple hearts with two clusters, the Croix de Guerre, and Presidential Citations. He retired a Colonel from the Air Force. Paul practiced law in Milwaukee for over fifty years successfully litigating several precedent-setting decisions in higher courts including the Wisconsin and U.S. Supreme Courts. He also acted as general counsel for the American Boxing Federation and an arbitrator for the Court of Arbitration du Sport, legal arm of the International Olympic Committee. Paul was extensively active throughout his life in the sport of boxing dating to his days as a national Golden Gloves, Italian National and college champion at UW, through many years as an Olympic boxing official and Vice President to the Amateur International Boxing Federation. He officiated at five Olympics as well as many international boxing events.
