His starts was in CLUB DE BOXEO VILLA UNION of Montevideo Uruguay at 14 years old, Amateur since 1957, National champion for 3 times 1957, 1958 and 1959 in Uruguay, Rio platense champion in 1958.

His professional starts was in 1960, his first pro fight was vs. Hugo Sedano.

He make tours in Latin America (Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Panama, in 1965.

He was contracted in Spain to fight the european champion Miguel Velazquez, the he stays in Europe for 8 years making tours in 1972 and 1980 in Spain, France, Italy, Austria, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Swiss and Portugal.

On 1980 he returns to Uruguay for medical exams and thats the end of his professioanl boxing carrier.

He stays in uruguay Teaching Boxing until 1985, then he travel to Ecuador to keep teaching boxing for the Ecuador boxing federation and making private boxing classes.

He stays on Guayaquil-Ecuador teaching boxing and he dyes on July of 2006 (Heart attack).
