Daddono is the founder and current chairman of the IBO. As a youth Daddono boxed as an amateur in Illinois. Daddono also promoted and co-promoted a few professional boxing shows. In June of 2011 he was inducted into the Florida Boxing Hall of Fame and in November of 2015 he was inducted into the Illinois Boxing Hall of Fame.
