Biography
Vladine Biosse grew up in the Cape Verde islands off the western coast of Africa. He came to Providence in 1995, where he attended Hope High School and was a multi-sport athlete. He was the team captain for the football team as a senior, and played both running back, defensive back and kicker for the Blue Wave. He earned all-state honors as a senior. Biosse was also a sprinter on the track & field team, where he earned all-state honors as a junior and senior and won the 300-meters at the URI Invitational as a senior. [1] Following high school, Biosse went on to play football for two seasons at Dean College, before transferring to the University of Rhode Island for his junior and senior seasons where he played wide receiver and defensive back. He compiled an amateur boxing record of 18-2 before turning pro.[2]
