Jack (Kid) Wolfe (also called Jackie "Kid" Wolfe), of Hebrew heritage, was the first recognized world champion of the Junior Featherweight class, in 1922. Wolfe defeated Joe Lynch for the title and lost it a year later in 1923 to Carl Duane.

Wolfe was considered by Ted Carroll, in his article for the December 1953 The Ring Magazine, pp. 12-13, as one of The Golden Bantams of the 1920s. Wolfe defeated American Flyweight Champions Young Montreal and Frankie Mason. He defeated World Bantamweight Champions Kid Williams, Memphis Pal Moore, Johnny Ertle, Pete Herman, and Joe Lynch and several world class bantamweight and featherweight contenders like Al Schubert, Joe Burman, Eddie O’ Dowd, and Peter Zivic to name a few.

The August 7, 1912 Cleveland Leader claimed that Wolfe had been born in Russia.
