Jay B. Mayse was born 31 Jan 1893 in Junction City, Kansas and moved to Oklahoma City at a young age. Somewhere between 1920 and 1930 he moved to Los Angeles. He probably fought 50+ or more times easy and I have a lot of these from The Daily Oklahoman I will list. Like many of the fighters in OKC at the time he was working at The Skirvin Hotel and on his WWI draft card lists his profession as "bell captain".
He died 8 Jan 1955 in Los Angeles, CA.
