December 3, 1922 Observer-Dispatch: "Herman Brodowsky a.k.a. Pinky Burns entered the farm house of Gustav Smith near Nyack, New York with two other men and stole $200. A fight broke out and Burns allegedly hit Smith with a pool cue which caused injuries that Smith later died from."
