• According to the May 31, 1927 Wenatchee Daily World, McDevitt was born in Devil's Lake, North Dakota, and schooled in Butte, Montana. He then came to Peshastin, WA, to run a ranch. He was reported to be 22-years-old, which appears to have been incorrect.
• He married Luella (Peggy) M., born 18 Dec 1903 Trinidad, WA; she died 7 Jun 1986 Leavenworth, WA, USA; and is interred in Peshastin Cemetery.
• McDevitt also is interred at the Peshastin Cemetery. The McDevitt graves are in the fourth row from the County Road, and about ten plots down the hill from the cemetery road--near the lawn mower shed.
