Eddie Gross was a Seattle-area baker by trade. After a series of elimination bouts sponsored by Nate Druxman, Joe Waterman, Lonnie Austin and Biddy Bishop in late 1930, he became the first "undisputed" heavyweight champion of the Pacific Northwest.
He is mentioned in the 2011 book A Dream, A Buck, An Era.
