For good reason was Albert Breau called "Ace." He would have been a "high-card" in any game. He carried himself well and had those attractive features of the athlete: good balance, smooth co-ordination, and as far as anyone knew, heart.

During his two years as a professional, this boy fighting out of Montreal had lost only one of 37 professional fights. That one loss, he had avenged when he won the crown, June 26, 1967, out-pointing Fernand Simard over 12 rounds, in Quebec City.

Albert had not seen Colin fight, but he knew he was an "in-your-face" fighter. His manager Roger Larivee researched his opponents well before a fight. In Colin�s case, research was easy. He already had a billboard reputation reading: "Highly aggressive!" They both knew everyone was expecting a "battle royal." Breau weighed in at 135 pounds.
