Cliff (Kid) Taro was an Everett fireman when he wasn't boxing. He was the brother of Ed (by 1916, a former boxer himself), Leonard, and Al (by 1916 the Everett Fire Chief). They all were probably related to another Everett Fire Chief, William A. Taro (1880-1923), who was killed in a traffic accident at the intersection of Hewitt and Colby Avenues in Everett, October 29, 1923, while on duty and rushing to what turned out to be a false fire alarm.
