Son of Marvin Hagler, boxed as an amateur. In 1995, he made the Evander Holyfield's Boxing team. The team went on to win the regionals
for the 3rd straight year. He was the 3x Georgia State champ, and won the ABF Championship.
In 2016, James became a member of the American Boxing Association.
In 2017, James formed James Hagler Promotions, a marketing and promotional company with strong ties to the boxing and MMA world. James is advocating feature boxing events in association with ABA (American Boxing Association) and is proud to present opportunities for upcoming NWO Boxing events which will be broadcast across North West Ohio on Bounce TV.
