---The Morning News; Wilmington, De.; Thursday, 10 January 1980. Bel Air, MD. - Clayton M. "Chick" Liddell, 76, of 2610 Calvary Road, died Tuesday in Fallston General Hospital, Fallston, MD. Mr. Liddell was a horse breeder and racer. He was also a former lightweight boxing champion of Delaware and president of Phillips-Thompson Co., a farming supply business. His first wife, MaryAnn, died in 1967. He is survived by his wife, Anna Applegate; a stepson, William R. Law of Landenberg, Pa., a brother, LeRoy of Wilmington, Delaware; and two sisters, Mabel Jones of Carrcroft, Wilmington, and Evelyn Rich of Bethany Beach, Delaware. Services will be Saturday morning at 10 at the Chandler Funeral Home, 2506 Concord Pike, Sharpley, Wilmington, where friends may call tomorrow night. Masonic services will be held tomorrow at 7. Burial will be in Grace Lawn Memorial Park, Wilmington. Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Shrine Hospital for Crippled Children, P. O. BOX 10085, Wilmington.
