The Canadian Boxing Hall of Fame held its 10th Annual Convention and Dinner awards on the 31st October 1980 in Toronto where Gollob was listed amongst the honoured fighters. In the "Ottawa Citizen" dated September 14th 1943 an article about Gollob says his record at that time was 138-11. Some reports make mention of him being a referee in wrestling after boxing.
Other articles say he was Canada's most travelled athlete and boxed in the UK, USA, Mexico, South America, Estonia, Greece, Holland, Norway, Sweden, France, Lithuania and Yugoslavia (won a title there apparently). He ended up living in the UK and married an Australian songstress
