Ronald Rawson was a British amateur heavyweight boxer He won a gold medal in Boxing at the 1920 Summer Olympics, defeating Danish boxer Søren Petersen in the final.
He went to Westminster School in London Sept 1906 to July 1911 and then to Trinity College, Cambridge in 1912. He boxed and won against Oxford in 1913 and 1914. He served as an Officer in World War I from 1914 to 1919, during which he was awarded the Military Cross and two Bars i.e., 3 Military Crosses.
He won the ABA Heavyweight Title in 1920 and 1921, and in 1920 won the Olympic Gold Medal in Antwerp as a Heavyweight
Rawson only boxed as an amateur, and was an engineer by profession.
