Tibor Csík (born: September 2, 1927 in Jászberény, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok, Hungary; died: June 22, 1976 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia) of Hungary won the gold medal at the 1948 London Olympiad in the Bantamweight class. Csik had an easy route to the semi-finals, as his first opponent was disqualified, and his quarterfinal opponent Jimmy Carruthers of Australia, was forced to withdraw due to an eye injury. In the final, Csik won a decision over Giovanni Zuddas of Italy, to win the gold medal.
