Július Torma

Július Torma (March 7, 1922 in Budapest, Hungary – October 23, 1991 Praha, Czech Republic) was a Slovak boxer who representeed Czechoslovakia in the Olympic games, and was the Welterweight gold medalist at the 1948 London Olympic games. Torma defeated Hank Herring of the United States in the final. Torma also competed as a welterweight in 1952, losing in the quaterfinals; and in 1956, as a Middleweight.
