Montreal La Presse Sunday Inserts
From about 1928-1932, Montreal's French-language newspaper La Presse published in its Sunday magazine a full-paged image of some well-known sports figures. Ice hockey players and boxers were two of the more common athletes featured, but other sports covered included baseball, rowing, fencing, swimming, dog sledding, canoeing, cycling, tennis, snow shoe racing, car racing, horse racing, and yachting. Provided below are some of the boxer examples of these poster inserts.
