- Dadashev died 4 days following a TKO loss to Subriel Matias in Oxon Hill, Maryland. Dadashev's trainer Buddy McGirt asked for the fight to be stopped prior to the beginning of the 12th round. Dadashev collapsed shortly after exiting the ring and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he underwent emergency brain surgery. He was placed in a medically induced coma, but eventually succumbed to his injuries.
