Cohan was the longtime boxing and wrestling promoter in Pasadena, CA, USA. Cohan began his boxing career as the manager-promoter at the Pasadena Armory in 1924, as a 22-year old. Cohan moved his operations to the Pasadena Arena in June 1927, which he would later control until the 1960s. Cohan also promoted amateur boxing when professional boxing suffered in the Great Depression, and worked as a wrestling promoter as well.
Cohan would promote all boxing and wrestling programs in Pasadena from 1924, until the mid-1960s, with the exception of the late 1930s and early 1940s.
