"Tami Mauriello came off the floor Friday night to punch out his second 10 round decision victory over Lee Savold before a near capacity turnout in MSG. Savold started out as if he wanted to make a short night's work of it, snapping Tami's head back with short uppercuts in close and dropping Mauriello to the canvas with a sharp left hook to the chin as the bell sounded ending the 2nd heat. But, starting with the 3rd, Savold began to slow down as Tami, boxing one of his better fights, kept out of range of Savold's left and piled up points with a long, awkward jab and an occasional right cross. In the 10th, Mauriello went all out trying for a knockout, but Lee had enough left to stay on his feet." -Associated Press
