Vincent "Vinny" Maddalone graduated from Pfeiffer University in North Carolina in 1996 and received his B.A. in Criminal Justice. He competed in tough man competition when he was still in college. After college he played two full seasons with the Adirondack Lumberjacks (1996 and 1997) of the Northeast Independent League.
