Three grandchildren; Vincent (son of daughter Barbara) and daughter-in-law Dawna. Wendy and husband Charles, Billy and wife Susan (children of his son William). Six great grandchildren: Marisa, Andrea, Willie, Lylah, Astara &amp;amp; Tillia. Nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Billy, as every one called him, retired at an early age due to health problems from the (I. L. W. U ) International Longshoreman&amp;#039;s Warehouse Union Local 6. As a voted in official of the Union for 25 years he was respected by fellow employees, employers, and the union membership of many. Though he appreciated several sports his passion was boxing, which he was involved in as a young man. Later in life he trained and managed young boxing hopefuls; bringing one to Olympic try- outs, he also worked with the Police Athletic League. Honors: On April 4, 1987, presented with a plaque at the Northern California Veterans Boxers Association, Lightweight Contender 1935 - 1942. The World Boxing Hall of Fame saluted him for &amp;quot;Meritorious Service to the Sport of Boxing&amp;quot; on November 6, 1992 presenting him with a plaque. Six great grandchildren: Marisa, Andrea, Willie, Lylah, Astara &amp;amp; Tillia. Nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Billy, as every one called him, retired at an early age due to health problems from the (I. L. W. U ) International Longshoreman&amp;#039;s Warehouse Union Local 6. As a voted in official of the Union for 25 years he was respected by fellow employees, employers, and the union membership of many. Though he appreciated several sports his passion was boxing, which he was involved in as a young man. Later in life he trained and managed young boxing hopefuls; bringing one to Olympic try- outs, he also worked with the Police Athletic League. Honors: On April 4, 1987, presented with a plaque at the Northern California Veterans Boxers Association, Lightweight Contender 1935 - 1942. The World Boxing Hall of Fame saluted him for &amp;quot;Meritorious Service to the Sport of Boxing&amp;quot; on November 6, 1992 presenting him with a plaque. A trophy was presented in 1992 by the &amp;quot;Bay Area Hall of Fame.&amp;quot; He served in the US Navy and while stationed on the Island of Guam he was commissioned as Boxing Instructor. He had many friends in the boxing, baseball world and in all other walks of life, he had a charismatic personality which drew people to him wherever he went.
