	Colima dominated the first four rounds, as Colima hit him frequently with both hands. In the 5th round, on the advice of his trainer [[Walter Coffey]], Long switched his attack to the body, as Colima showed signs of wilting. Long returned to the body in the 6th round, and dropped Colima with a right hand to the pit of the stomach with around a minute left in the round. Colima rose at the count of six, but was dropped for the count by a left hand to the solarplexus. Colima's manager claimed a foul, but was unable to find anyone of importance to vouch for him.
