Won the Canadian National Featherweight Title in September 1923 defeating Leo “Kid” Roy for his greatest win in his boxing career. Defended the title successfully against UK Bantamweight and Featherweight Champion Joe Fox in October 1923-and losing the Featherweight Title a month later to Benny Gould.
