While Monroe enjoyed a 4 1/2" height advantage over the 5'7 1/2" Parker, he didn't have much of a chance to fully employ his explosive jab. Though no knockdowns were registered along the way, Parker, the youngster at 20, did dominate throughout most of the fight, especially through the latter stages as his aggressive approach nearly had the 30 year old Monroe out on his feet.
