Hernandez, unbeaten and unranked, floored Moore six times and fractured the jaw of the champion from Springfield, Ohio, on his way to a 7th round TKO. Moore went into the ring as a strong favourite and emerged with the worst licking of his career. Hernandez, who weighed 130 to Moore's 127 1/4, scored his first two knockdowns in the 3rd round.
