	Prior to 1935, the Dayton Gym Club was considered a semi-pro club and was under the supervision of the City of Dayton's commission, along with it's fellow club the [[Dayton Eagles' Club]]. Other shows in the city were deemed professional and were under the supervision of the Montgomery County boxing commission, and were held to official decision. As a result it's generally believed that bouts at the Dayton Gym Club prior to 1935, were largely fought to no-decision, though it is possible, yet unclear if this designation was under the promoters discretion. Beginning with the 1935/36 season, cards featured a main event or semi-final to a decision. By the 1936/37 season all bouts at the Dayton Gym Club were being held to a decision, which remained the status thereafter.
