	"British Empire middleweight champion Dick Tiger of Nigeria scored a 9th round TKO over Gene (Ace) Armstrong last night for his third straight victory over the Elizabeth, N.J., boxer, who wound up in a hospital with a rib injury. Armstrong apparently suffered the 'contusion of his left rib cage' in the 6th round of their nationally-televised fight at MSG. In the 6th round, Armstrong apparently thought he was struck low when he suffered the injury, for he turned away from his hooking opponent and began circling the ring. He told referee Ruby Goldstein he had been hit low, but neither the referee nor the 2,000 fans in the Garden had seen the punch. Tiger floored Armstrong with a left hook in the 3rd round and dropped him with another left hook in the 9th.
