	In a prelim bout on the Maddalone-Baker fight card dinner and show held at Russo's on the Bay hosted by Joe DeGuardia's Star Productions, in a battle of young Welterweights, Dominic DeSanto of Spencer, North Carolina and Ashantie 'The Volcano' Hendrickson of Medford, New York, battled to a ~~two~~ round no-contest.		In a prelim bout on the Maddalone-Baker fight card dinner and show held at Russo's on the Bay hosted by Joe DeGuardia's Star Productions, in a battle of young Welterweights, Dominic DeSanto of Spencer, North Carolina and Ashantie 'The Volcano' Hendrickson of Medford, New York, battled to a three round no-contest.

			The scheduled four round bout was action packed while it lasted. DeSanto & Hendrickson both southpaws appeared in excellent condition. DeSanto used a consistent jab and punched in combinations to score consistently on Hendrickson in center ring. Hendrickson in an effort to avoid DeSanto`s jab and combination`s started throwing bombs, low blows and leading in with his head. Hendrickson`s wild and foul ridden attack`s drove DeSanto to the ropes where he appeared comfortable blocking and avoiding most punches; while countering effectively. This style of fighting was somewhat effective for Hendrickson allowing him to land some hard shots on the 19 year old DeSanto. Hendrickson feeling more desperate as the fight went on started landing more low blows and headbutts along with missing wild punches. The referee started warning Hendrickson from the first round on about low blows and headbutts. In the third round the referee took a point away from Hendrickson for hitting low. The third round was developing into a 10-8 round for DeSanto with the point deduction as he was continuing to land the cleaner punches. Despite this, a fifth headbutt from Hendrickson opened a deep gash over DeSanto`s left eye, prompting the ringside doctor to stop the bout over DeSanto`s protests. The bout appeared a clear case for a win by disqualification at ringside as the numerous fouls appeared flagrant. However the fifth and final headbutt was ruled by the referee to be an accidental headbutt and a no-contest was declared. The DeSanto team has appealed the decision to the New York State Boxing Commission.
