			McDermott discolored both of Spence's eyes in the last minute of the first round. Eddie bloodied McDermott's nose with left jabs in the second round and out boxed his opponent until the fourth. In the fourth a good left hook to the body hurt the Maine fighter and Spence went to work with combinations to stagger Jimmy, who saved himself with an attack of his own.
