De Asis was warned in the 4th for an attempted head butt. Mario de Asis received another point deduction for the same infraction in the 7th Round. in what turned out to be a farcical fight because of a soaking wet canvas caused by cornermen bathing the fighters in water in-between rounds which caused them to slip and slide all throughout. The fghters were not to be blamed and gave their best in very difficult conditions which caused long delays. Referee Ver Abainza added to the problem by failing to warn or deduct any points from Danggod for hitting De Asia when he was down after a slip and also throwing him down on the canvas with a wrestling move.
